Segment Synopsis: Thomason describes the importance of Virginia Gunn in preventing beach renourishment at St. Simons Island in Georgia. She talks about how Gunn lead the effort to protect the beaches as president of Save the Beaches. Thomason also discusses Gunn's service as County Commissioner, protecting the tree canopy and addressing pollution.
